Coagulation Tubes

 

Citrate tubes are used to obtain citrate plasma samples. They contain buffered sodium citrate solution, which is used as an anticoagulant. The tubes are available in a range of sizes in plastic identified by a light blue cap.

Mixing recommendation: Citrate tubes should be gently inverted 180° and back 3-4 times.

Centrifugation Instructions: Plastic Citrate tubes - 2000-2500g for 10-15 minutes at 25°C room temperature.
